Barons

Barons came to BZIMPLE with too much stock on slow movers, too little on fast movers, and little transparency in between. The work started with the buying process, not with software.

Barons

In their words

What Barons set out to fix

We were facing challenges with excessively high stock levels on slow-moving products, low product availability on fast-moving products, and a lack of transparency in our buying and planning processes.

We turned to BZIMPLE to help us assess our workflows and develop a customized buying tool to support our inventory planning.

Thomas from BZIMPLE was selected for his extensive experience in fashion article planning. He guided us in building an effective strategy—not only for inventory planning, but also for optimizing supplier collaboration, fabric- and capacity booking.

Thanks to BZIMPLE’s support, we’ve successfully reduced our inventory levels while simultaneously improving product availability.

BZIMPLE 360°

A structured review of how buying decisions actually get made

BZIMPLE 360° is the consultancy side of Fashion Planner: a structured review of buying processes, resources, and workflows, so inventory investments in NOOS, seasonal, and limited products become more deliberate. It starts with how the planning work is done today — who decides what, on which numbers, and how often — rather than with a system.

The buying process

How an order is prepared and decided: the cadence it follows, the numbers behind each decision, and the hand-offs between planning, buying, and sales.

Resources and roles

Who plans, how much of the week the routine consumes, and which parts of it depend on one person or one spreadsheet.

Inventory priorities

How NOOS, seasonal, and limited products are treated differently, and where stock levels and availability are pulling against each other.

Suppliers and capacity

How lead times, minimum quantities, and fabric and capacity booking shape what can realistically be ordered, and when the decision has to be made.

The output is a practical plan: the routine to run each week, the figures to run it on, and the changes worth making first. Where a tool is the right answer, Fashion Planner is implemented around that routine — and where it is not, the process changes stand on their own.

Thomas Frahm

Who runs it

Thomas Frahm

Planning consultant, BZIMPLE

Thomas Frahm has worked with planning, forecasting, and replenishment in the textile and fashion industry since 2007. He has been responsible for purchasing at brands such as ONLY, Soya Concept, and hummel, and has helped numerous brands implement new planning systems and make them work inside the organisation.

He has also worked as a planning consultant for smaller brands, managing their NOOS and seasonal allocations week by week. The focus is business optimisation through data that is accessible and transparent, and close collaboration between purchasing, sales, and suppliers, so buying decisions can be made quickly and on solid ground.

Over the past seven years he has visited more than 100 of the largest brands in northern Europe, and keeps meeting the same pattern: NOOS and seasonal purchasing is rarely prioritised, and the missed revenue lands on brands and retailers alike.

Investing in NOOS and seasonal inventory is one of the riskiest parts of running a brand, and one of the largest in-season opportunities. For customers, products that can be restocked daily are a large part of what keeps the bottom line healthy.
